How we built this timeline

Coordinated disclosure 8 Jul 2025 with fixes and a workaround; exploitation came after a public PoC (watchTowr, 11 Jul 2025, per contemporaneous reporting, not fetched here). Fortinet added '18 Jul 2025: CVE observed to be exploited' to the timeline, the same day as the KEV listing.

Oddity: the CVE record's datePublished is 17 Jul 2025, nine days after the advisory, so the CVE record is not used as a Vendor statement candidate. Fortinet CVSSv3 9.8.
