No brief for this incident yet. We write one for every open incident and every critical bug exploited before a fix.

Affected products

  • Oracle HTTP Server
  • Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in for Apache HTTP Server
  • Oracle WebLogic Server Proxy Plug-in for IIS
How we built this timeline

Fixed in the January 2026 Critical Patch Update (released 20 Jan 2026; CVSS 3.1 base 10.0 per Oracle's risk matrix).

Exploitation came later: The Hacker News (25 Aug 2026) cites GreyNoise, CloudSEK and SOCRadar reports of exploitation attempts from February-March 2026 onward. oracle.com returns HTTP 403 to non-browser user agents, so Wayback snapshots are cited. The quote for world/vendor/Fixed for all versions spans two table cells of the Modification History table (date cell and note cell).
