How we built this timeline

exploited before a fix is null on purpose. SecurityWeek (21 Nov 2025, updated) reports SANS ISC's Johannes Ullrich saw possible exploitation in honeypot logs 'several times between August 30 and September 9, weeks before Oracle released a patch'; but Searchlight Cyber's Shubham Shah told SecurityWeek the activity 'can be attributed back to Searchlight Cyber researchers', while Ullrich said it looked more like attackers because the same IPs scanned for other bugs.

Oracle's CPU does not mention exploitation. The pre-patch activity was only reported publicly after the patch (November 2025).
