How we built this timeline

Zero-day acknowledged by the vendor at the fix: the alert itself does not mention exploitation, but BleepingComputer (19 Nov 2024) quotes a blog post by Oracle VP of Security Assurance Eric Maurice: 'It was reported as being actively exploited "in the wild" by CrowdStrike'. Oracle's blog is JavaScript-rendered, so BleepingComputer is the quotable record.

Hence exploited before a fix=true; world=vendor=First fix because nothing about the bug was public before the alert. CVSS 7.5 from Oracle's risk matrix.

Wayback capture cited because oracle.com blocks non-browser user agents.
