How we built this timeline

Coordinated disclosure on Patch Tuesday 9 Jun 2026 (advisory 'Security-Advisory-Ivanti-Sentry-CVE-2026-10520-CVE-2026-10523', which also fixes CVE-2026-10523, a CVSS 9.9 auth bypass not in KEV). Exploitation followed within about a day: watchTowr published analysis/PoC and Shadowserver reported backdoored instances the next day (BleepingComputer 11 Jun 2026);

KEV 11 Jun 2026. SecurityWeek reported Ivanti saying activity was seen on honeypots;

RunZero (12 Jun 2026) says exploited in the wild. Some secondary sources give 10 Jun 2026 as the patch date;

Ivanti's blog/RSS and the CVE record both show 9 Jun 2026. The vendor and patch times use Ivanti's RSS pubDate (14:06Z) and the CVE record (14:10Z).

R1 check (23 Oct 2026): 'bypass' refers to CVE-2026-10523's own description (authentication bypass); no source describes R10.5.2/R10.6.2/R10.7.1 as incomplete.
