    GitLab Security Release: 13.8.4, 13.7.7 and 13.6.7 (Feb 11, 2021; Wayback snapshot)CuratedQuote verified

When requests to the internal network for webhooks are enabled, a server-side request forgery vulnerability in GitLab affecting all versions starting from 10.5 was possible to exploit for an unauthenticated attacker even on a GitLab instance where registration is disabled.

Coordinated disclosure: the security release post dated Feb 11, 2021 was the first public signal (the CVE ID was assigned later; the CVE record was published 2021-06-11). Exploitation was only reported years later (KEV listing 2026-02-18).

How we built this timeline

Old bug added to KEV long after the fix (KEV 18 Feb 2026). The release post section is titled 'Unauthenticated CI lint API may lead to information disclosure and SSRF'.

Severity follows GitLab's own CVSS 3.1 score 6.8 (medium); NVD scores it 9.8.

Related later fix: gitlab-cve-2021-39935 (CI Lint API SSRF for external users, December 2021).
